Zoo To You is looking for a unique animal lover with an outgoing personality to join the team as an animal handler for birthday parties, schools, summer camps and other live animal events.The position is for full-time for August, including weekends, staying on as part-time starting September. This job is perfect for the college/university student. The animal handler’s day will always start 15 minutes west of Lindsay than heading to a variety of locations within 250 km radius, bringing different animals to birthday parties and some other interactive live events. This position requires you to be comfortable handling all animals listed on our website, holding, interacting, and presenting each animal, providing unique and fun facts in an interactive, engaging way to birthday party goers both children and adults of all ages. Must be comfortable presenting and hosting numbers up to 25 people.The successful candidate must have a valid G-class drivers license, clean driving record, pass a vulnerable background check and be great with children.Experience with some of animals that we have is a requirement, additional hands-on training will be provided.Home base is 15 minutes west of Lindsay, Ontario.
