Job Description

The Production Manager will oversee the effective running of the production environment, making sure that manufacturing processes run smoothly, are cost effective and deliver products on time.In addition, Production Manager is required to maintain good discipline and to ensure adherence to safe working practices and quality systems.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead & Manage a team of supervisors/operatives/planners in the product manufacturing area that is competent, disciplined, motivated and reliable.
  • Ensure that staff numbers are adequate for the likely range and volume of activities, allowing flexibility through a multi-skilled team.
  • Become the Manufacturing Subject expert for the Oracle MRP system planned introduction
  • Responsible for Team development and allocation of resources/skills.
  • Focused on process Improvements that drives value for the business and minimizes risk
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Essential to come from a Plastics Molding background
  • Proven Management skills, and an ability to demonstrate effective leadership
  • Quality, Health and Safety Management skills
  • Training, organizing and planning skills
  • A practical knowledge of mechanical engineering processes coupled with an ability to absorb technical information
  • A proven background in Manufacturing/Production based environments.
