Job Description

Wynyard Co-op is hiring an Agronomist at our Agro Center in Wynyard, Saskatchewan.Who we are:Wynyard Co-op is friendly retail in a welcoming community located in the central region of Saskatchewan. As a co-operative, we believe in working together to serve Western Canadians, delivering profits back to our communities and investing in sustainable growth.What you’ll do:Reporting to the Agro Center Manager, the Agronomist will be responsible for consulting with and providing agronomic support, services, leading knowledge and appropriate recommendations to our valued growers and customers in the Wynyard area through:

  • Development/maintenance and administration of a farm contact program with present and prospective customers, promoting the services and product lines available at the Wynyard Co-op
  • Meeting set sales and margin budgets
  • Being responsible for the safe handling, receiving, storage and administration of crop protection products

  • A degree or diploma in Agriculture or Agribusiness
  • Professional certifications (PAg/CCA and/or Articling)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an agriculture-related field (retail, fertility, crop protection)
  • A valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Strong agricultural background in sales, account management and agronomy
  • Crop planning and scouting agronomy experience
  • A believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
