We are currently seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team. We provide high quality care to all of our patients and are looking for the right person to help us do just that. The successful candidate must be friendly, reliable and have excellent communication skills. They must be physically capable of lifting over 30kg and be comfortable around companion animals.The main duties required of a Veterinary Assistant are to greet patients and their owners as they arrive, assist with patient handling and positioning for medical procedures (such as catheter placement, surgical prep, radiographs, blood draws, etc.), maintain clinic cleanliness and sterility, help with answering phones, booking appointments, refilling prescription medications, unpacking orders and any other tasks that support staff and clinic function.Clinical experience and/or formal training is an asset but is not a requirement.
