YRH was originally founded in 1912 and has developed into a vast health care complex serving the 58,000 people of Shelburne, Yarmouth, and Digby Counties. YRH has 124 inpatient beds and provides a range of primary and secondary services through in-patient, outpatient and satellite programs:Dalhousie School of Nursingveteran’s unitchronic pain clinickidney clinicServices:alternate level of care unitambulatory careanesthesiologycancer care centrecardiac investigation and respiratory servicescontinuing carediabetes educationdiagnostic imagingdialysisemergency medicinefalls preventionintensive care unitmental health and addictions servicesobstetrics and gynecologyoccupational therapypalliative carephysiotherapypre-natal clinicpublic healthrecreation therapyspiritual carestroke programsurgical unitResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will help cover a 10-station hemodialysis units that runs 3 shifts per day, 6 days per week, as well as home dialysis and outpatient CKD clinics. In addition, they will share in coverage of the IM on call and ICU services. Traveling IM clinics to small communities in the Western Zone, particularly Digby and Shelburne, provide outreach services.Expected HoursCompensation is fee for service with flexible vacation time.
