Journeyman Agricultural Technician / Heavy Duty MechanicPosition Type: Full-TimeOverview: Our organization is seeking an experienced and skillful Journeyman Agricultural Technician / Heavy Duty Mechanic to uphold our commitment to premium service quality. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the inspection, repair, and servicing of our agricultural equipment, while continuously broadening their expertise in the mechanics of John Deere products.Responsibilities:

  1. Inspection and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough examinations and identify faults or issues within agricultural machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  2. Equipment Repair and Service: Implement necessary repairs and maintenance activities on agricultural equipment, ensuring longevity and peak efficiency.
  3. Tool and Technology Application: Leverage specialized tools, advanced technologies, and innovative methodologies to diagnose and execute intricate repair tasks.
  4. Preventative Maintenance: Adhere to documented preventative maintenance schedules and standards, working meticulously to ensure the optimal functioning of equipment and related components.
  5. Knowledge Upkeep: Remain abreast of the latest advancements in John Deere agriculture products to deliver informed and proficient service.
  6. Diagnostic Acumen: Employ diagnostic tools and basic computer operations effectively in identifying and addressing mechanical issues.
  7. Continuous Learning: Engage actively in John Deere University sessions and dealer-sponsored training programs to continuously refine and amplify your skill set and technical capabilities.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in complex service repairs and maintenance of heavy machinery.
  • A Journeyperson Agricultural Technician certification or an equivalent qualification in a relevant mechanical domain such as Heavy Equipment or Automotive mechanics.
  • Proven competency in using diagnostic tools and basic computer functionalities.
  • An unwavering dedication to providing outstanding customer support.
  • Strong attention to detail and a deep-rooted sense of pride in workmanship.
  • Capacity to function both autonomously and collaboratively within a team framework.
  • Valid driver #39;s license with the willingness to travel as needed.
