More information can be found here.To provide authoritative advice, interpretation and/or consultation services while leading a team of specialists who provide professional expertise in the delivery of services specific to the area of specialty.The Provincial Caribou Recovery Program sits within the Land Use Policy, Planning and Ecosystems Division (LUPPE) within the new Ministry of Land, Water and Resource Stewardship (‘Ministry’) and provides provincial coordination, strategic direction, funding, and general oversight with the aim to recover caribou in B.C. The Program also works with other ministries, Nations, governments, and interested parties to develop, implement, and monitor new management actions and provincial strategies to ensure we are meeting or exceeding provincial and federal population and habitat objectives.There are 5 team leads (Habitat, Population, Planning Initiatives, Science and Knowledge, and Program) who provide direction, secure funding, and coordinate toward the fulfillment of our Strategy with integrity and in alignment with the Ministry mandate.The Planning Initiatives Team Lead strategically coordinates a team of subject matter experts from various disciplines to provide advice to senior government officials in a manner that gives voice to the various values of the people of BC.
