Operating with considerable independence, this position reviews applications for water licences, amendments to licences, abandonments and cancellations under the Water Sustainability Act. The Water Information Technician maintains the accuracy and integrity of provincial databases (e.g., ELicensing and GWells) using a variety of tools and applications.Job Requirements:Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary education in a related area; OR
  • An equivalent combination of experience, education and training may be considered.
  • Experience in the interpretation of legislation and policy working with legal documents.
  • Experience managing the accuracy and integrity of data bases and using a variety of digital tools.
Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:
  • Natural resources management education and/or experience.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience working with ARCGIS and/or iMap.
