Job Summary: This consulting role focuses on advising the Government of Alberta on strategic initiatives and leading a ministerial transformation within the Ministry of Justice. The consultant will facilitate discussions with executives, provide guidance on organizational structures and governance, and potentially coach and mentor teams on service innovation and digital transformation. The position requires expertise in digital delivery, agile methodologies, and organizational change management. The initial contract is for one year, with the possibility of a 24-month extension. Work will primarily be remote, with potential for in-person meetings and travel within Alberta. Location: Alberta, Canada Responsibilities: - Provide subject matter expertise and recommendations on digital delivery, agile product development, and organizational transformation. - Assess and develop initiatives to cultivate digital capability, capacity, and culture within the context of service transformation. - Advise, coach, and lead product and platform teams throughout project lifecycles. - Advise and coach executive leadership teams on change management related to organizational structure, governance, capacity building, policy, infrastructure, and culture. - Create and present options, frameworks, models, and briefings for senior executives on digital transformation. - Facilitate strategic conversations to develop shared understanding and generate options for decision-making. - Develop baseline and ongoing outcomes, key results, metrics, and other indicators. Required Skillsamp; Certifications: - Expertise in digital delivery and agile methodologies. - Experience in organizational transformation and change management. - Strong communication and presentation skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Enhanced Security Clearance (prior to commencing services). Eligibility for higher-level security clearances (potentially up to Royal Canadian Mounted Police Top Secret Clearance). Preferred Skillsamp; Certifications: - Experience working with government agencies. - Experience in the justice sector. - Proven track record of successful service transformation projects. Special Considerations: - Primarily remote work, but in-person meetings and travel within Alberta may be required on reasonable notice. - Consultant responsible for providing own equipment for remote work; Province provides equipment for in-person work. - Criminal record check required. - Acceptance contingent upon successful security clearance approval by the Province. - Work must be done within Canada. Scheduling: - Full-time (7.25-hour workday), but hours may vary depending on project needs, up to a maximum of 1960 hours per term. - Scheduling will vary based on project needs.
