Job Description

Role: QA AnalystLocation: Calgary, AB - HybridMode: ContractAs a QA Analyst III in the Video Software team, you will be involved in the software development lifecycle in our fast-paced Agile development environment. You will work with other developers, our architect and other testers to collaboratively develop software solutions for Video products.Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Be proactive early in the software development lifecycle
  • Work cross-functional; liaise with the wider technical team and customers
  • Designamp; execute tests based on requirements, design, functionality
  • Produce Test documentation including but not limited to Test Plans, Manual Test Scripts, Test Reports, Defect Management and Reporting
  • Use agile SCRUM boards (i.e. JIRA or similar) to track stories and raise tickets
  • Give feedback to the wider technical team
  • Identify defects early and ensure the quality of software
Your skills/experience
  • 8+ years #39; experience working on software teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Software Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university
  • Demonstrated experience in software testing
  • Experience to work in agile software development teams incl. experience in agile tooling
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in creating and executing database queries to support testing, such as SQL
  • Experience of test automation would be desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to diplomatically advocate within organizational levels
