Job Description

League Projects Ltd.We are a leading oilfield construction company that provides quality Pipeline Construction, Pipeline Integrity, Facility Construction and Module Construction to western Canada’s energy sector.Location: Coronation, ABHand Welder Position Summary:As a Hand Welder with League Projects Ltd. you will be providing your skills to various tasks around the shop.As an employee will be expected to promote a safe and positive work culture within your team while embodying our commitment to quality products and services for our clients.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, manuals, and processes specifications.
  • Use different welding processes and filler depending upon the type of metal, its size and shape and requirements for finished product strength, weld parts together.Including manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal pieces using various welding processes.
  • Must pass welding test
  • May operate metal iron workers and metal band saws.
  • Clean, check for defects and shape component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch.
Skills and Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Ability to read and understand complex instructions and engineered drawings
  • Ability to do careful and exacting work
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to work overtime hours as needed
  • Be able to work effectively within a team or independently as required
Certifications and Onboarding Requirements:
  • Valid driver license and 3-year Driver’s Abstract required
  • Journeyman Certification
  • Interprovincial Red Seal
  • CWB - FCAW and SMAW
  • B-pressure optional
  • Preference given to candidates with valid safety tickets; Standard First Aidamp; CPR and H2S Alive and Ground Disturbance
  • Site specific orientations and training upon hire
Work Conditions:
  • Must be flexible working an adjusted shift schedule if required
  • Standing for long hours
  • Work will be in door and potentially outdoor environments.
