And with a warm, welcoming community at Park Place, you’ll be part of a supportive environment where everyone is committed to making a difference.What You #39;ll Do As part of our interprofessional care team, you’ll play a key role in transforming the lives of seniors by providing Occupational Therapy services that promote optimal health and well-being. Working within the standards of the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC, you’ll bring your expertise to:Perform clinical evaluations, including admission assessments, ADL assessments, specialized seating and positioning assessments.Identification of appropriate equipment needs with initiation of recommendations.Consult with local vendors regarding equipment trials and complete applications/funding letters to Ministry of Health, insurance agencies and other funding parties.Provide informal education on seating and positioning, independence with activities of daily living, wheelchairs and adaptive aides as well as providing ongoing education to clients and family to improve function, independence and safety.Provide ongoing evaluation of restraint use, wound prevention, falls and injury prevention.Record assessment and treatment interventions in the client #39;s chart as per guidelines established by the College of Occupational TherapistsQualifications:Registration with the Provincial Association of Occupational Therapists.Experience in Long Term Care preferred.Join us in a rewarding role that not only enhances the quality of life for seniors but also enriches your own journey as a healthcare professional.Powered by JazzHR
