Position DescriptionASSISTANT FITNESS MANAGERWhat is an Assistant Fitness ManagerThe Assistant Fitness Manager is responsible for assisting the Fitness Manager in maintaining a high standard of professionalism, results-based programming and profitability in the Personal Training DepartmentWorking with GoodLife Fitness Gives You:Ongoing training and development to ensure a long and successful career pathCareer advancement into management within 1-2 yearsCompetitive base pay and excellent commission based incomeGroup health care plansFun and energetic atmosphere to come to every day!For a list of the endless company benefits please go to: https://jobs.goodlifefitness.com/page/show/benefitsJob Summary:Assist with the financial management of the department to include achieving personal training revenue goals and profit goals in addition to controlling expensesAssist in ensuring that all personal trainers are working the minimum required hours.Assist in implementation of personal training consultation and/ or assessment with every client.Ensure individual and club personal training revenue goals are achievedParticipate in monthly Fitness Manager conference callsAttend training seminars as requiredAssist in ensuring all sales tools, systems, and resources available are used by all associatesAssist in the recruitment, selection, training, development, and performance management of all personal trainersAssist in upholding all human relations aspects of personal trainers education, personal training on-boarding program, and ongoing performance reviewsEnsure personal training programs are safe and effective and adhere to company standards.Consistently handle client concerns with professionalismMaintain a high level of communication and teamwork to ensure successful operationsSupport and implement GoodLife programs and servicesOur Ideal Candidate:1 - 2 years experience working at GoodLife FitnessCurrent, nationally recognized Personal Training CertificationExperience managing within a unionized environment (preferred)Previous success in salesPassion for fitnessPrevious work experience in the fitness industryCustomer Service ExperienceExemplary communication, time management and organizational skillsAt GoodLife Fitness, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, accessible environment, where all employees and members feel valued, respected and supported.
