** Currently seeking Part-time or Full-time Behaviour Technicians who are willing and able to commute to Client homes in Durham RegionAfterschool/Evening availability is required to meet the demands of clients who want after-school services.***Progressive Steps Training and Consultation is a fast-growing company providing behaviour analytic services to children adolescents and adults with ASD and other developmental disabilities across the GTA, Durham Region and York Region.We offer in-home and community based ABA services to individuals to help people achieve their desired best and greatest quality of life. We provide staff and parent training as well as direct support to individuals in need. We are committed to providing effective evidence-based interventions to individuals, their families and others who support them.Progressive Steps Training and Consultation is looking for a part-time or full-time behaviour technicians to work with pre-school, school-age or adult clients who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.All Behaviour technicians would work with and under the supervision of a Senior Behaviour Therapist and a Clinical Supervisor, who are Board Certified Behaviour Analysts. Strict COVID Policies are in effect.The role may include: - Implementing 1:1 ABA in-home or in the community with children, teens or adults with autism spectrum disorder- Participation in the assessment of challenging behaviour- The development of behaviour intervention plans- Implementation of the behaviour intervention plan and skill development programming- Program writing and material preparation- Parent training- Graphing and data analysis- Collaboration with co-workers- Report writing- Assessment of learning skills using a variety of assessment tools including, but not limited to ABLLS, VB-MAPP, EFL, AFLS and the PEAK assessment.Required Qualifications: - college diploma or undergraduate degree in Behaviour science, Applied behaviour analysis or equivalent OR the completion of 40-hour Registered behaviour technician course that can be completed for free at the following link: https://autismpartnershipfoundation.org/courses/rbt/**Consideration will be given to those who do not meet this minimum requirement if they are willing to take a free, self-paced, 40-hour RBT training prior to starting their employment.- at least *1 year* experience implementing ABA- experience with children teens and/or adults with ASD- prior training in Crisis Management and Prevention (CPI, Safe Management, etc.)- ability to follow written programming- excellent communication skills- current Police Vulnerable Sector Screening;- valid Driver’s License.- proof of full Covid vaccination requiredJoin our team if you are interested in: - frequent supervision, performance feedback, and support- growth and learning opportunities- objective performance-based pay increases- the opportunity to work with a variety of clients- the opportunity to participate in monthly team-wide training- supervisors dedicated to supporting you reach your professional development and learning goals- listening and learning from the perspectives of those who we supportWe are an equal opportunity employer and consider all qualified applicants equally without regard to race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status.
