And did we mention that there are really cool Volkswagen and Audi vehicles all over the place We are currently looking for a Bilingual (French/English) Automotive Technical Trainer in Ajax, ON with travel to the Technical Training Centre in Laval, QC and Richmond, BC as needed.Under the leadership of the Manager, Group Training Academy, this position is primarily responsible for providing technical training to all Volkswagen and Audi dealership service personnel in the application of automotive technologies and process. This includes theoretical and hands-on, diagnostic, maintenance and repair procedures and is delivered through a wide range of blended learning options.Based in Ajax, ON with travel to the Tecnnical Training Centre in Laval, QC and Richmond, BC as needed, this position will be responsible for the day to day operations and maintenance of the training centre, along with the accurate scheduling and maintenance of classes through the Learning Management System [LMS].This position is also required in the review, maintenance and development of course content.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Be an advocate for the VW and Audi Brands
  • Provide technical instruction, based on the Service Training curriculum for technicians
  • Participate in and plan a continuous three month rolling Service Training schedule, which includes entering the schedules in the Learning Management System (LMS) and closing the rosters after every class
  • Assist in the review, maintenance and development of curricula, specific courses and technical education methods
  • Assist in the determination of core competencies, training needs and development of training action plan for dealership staff
  • Managing the Learning Center for the day-to-day operations and maintaining assets such as, but not limited to vehicles, equipment, storage and security procedures.
QualificationsWhat we’re asking for:
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Science, Education or related degree or equivalent experience.
  • Provincial Technicians License or Interprovincial License must be held by the applicant
  • 3 to 5 years experience in a technical automotive position within an OEM Dealership
  • 3 to 5 years experience in training or teaching
  • Must be willing to adapt to various environments
  • Demonstrates highly competent facilitation and interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and well organized
  • Must be a continuous student of automotive technology
  • Demonstrates excellent computer skills in the major office applications, i.e. Word, Excel, Access, etc.
  • Must be a team Player and have the ability to build and sustain credibility with dealer and internal teams
  • Must have a valid passport
  • A great attitude and proven ability to be an effective team leader and collaborator
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and French (interpersonal, presentation, and written)
  • Flexibility for up to 75% travel
  • Must be flexible with overtime
