Job Description

Experienced ProfessionalField Service Crew LeadASnapshot of Your DayAs a partof our team, you will be a working field service supervisor responsible forassignment of tasks, work environment, safety, and the overall performance ofcrew and/or contractors on field projects. As the crew lead you will be theprimary expert in assembly, service and repair of transformers, The crew leadand crew may be assigned other work individually or as part of a largerelectrical substation or power plant environment. In this role you will beresponsible for the successful execution of projects and supervising, bothtechnically and administratively their crew members and assigned contractor(s).You will be expected to take decisive and/or corrective action for thewell-being of the crew, environment, project, equipment, customer and/or theorganizationHowYou’ll Make an Impact

  • Provide technicalinstructions regarding required tasks, safe and correct assembly or maintenanceof power and distribution transformers and transformer accessories. Thisincludes interpretation and following work scope, general assembly drawings,electrical prints and one-line diagrams as well as test data and factoryinstructions and manuals to crew and subcontractors
  • Perform and direct andtrain crew members in the safe and correct operation of transformer oilprocessing equipment including the performance of vacuum, oil filling,circulating, and draining of oil-filled power and distribution transformers
    • Communicate clearly and professionally, (written and/or verbal), regarding project scope, safety reviews (i.e. tailgate meetings), security or environmental incidents, safety violations or near misses.
    • Provide leadership and guide less experienced technicians, instructing them in proper & safe operation of equipment.
    • Assist with the planning of project set-up, resource requirements, site management, coordination of equipment and vendors; scheduling of heavy equipment, tankers, test equipment, etc.
    • Follow and/or enforce Siemens Environmental Health & Safety policies
  • Perform duties inaccordance with customer, industry and corporate laws, regulations andstandards
    • Perform additional duties as assigned by Resource Manager

  • You will be traveling extensively and working non-standard schedules at field locations with exposure to varying environmental conditions. Travel expectations are up to 75%.
