Job DescriptionMontrose Environmental Group company is a leading fugitive emission management service company providing a full range of Fugitive Emission Management services to the Energy and Petrochemical Industries. Our experience and innovative technologies provide efficient detection and accurate measurement of hydrocarbon fugitive emissions.Montrose specializes in the use of Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) video cameras to locate hydrocarbon gas emissions. Optical emission detection is a new technology that has been developed to provide rapid, accurate and safe identification of fugitive gas emissions. This technology enables the operator to "see" emissions of hydrocarbon gas (methane, propane, butane, aromatics, etc) that are normally invisible.This position offers a unique opportunity to join a successful Environmental Engineering firm and work with an industry leading technology used to detect and quantify methane greenhouse gas emissions.Duties:The following list of duties are the responsibility of the Field Engineer/Technician.

• Participate and be engaged in the safety culture
• Effectively communicating updates to Client representatives and Project Manager.
• Use of the Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) camera to detect/identify emissions
• Complete comprehensive Job Safety Analysis at their jobsite
• Maintain and use all required PPE
• Review and mark P&IDs
• Update and maintain the LDAR component database
• Perform and document calibration of monitoring instrument as required
• Comply with all permit and sign in procedures for the site
• Perform and document field inspections accurately, safely and efficiently
• Participate in training for career development, safety and maintaining required certifications
• Perform any other duties assigned by client or project manager(s)

Education Requirements:

• Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical, Power or Instrumentation Degree/Diploma in progress

Years of Experience:

• Any experience working at a refinery or an oil & gas facility is an asset

Systems/Software:

• Experience with Excel is required

Licensures/Training Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record is required
• First Aid and CPR Certified is beneficial

• Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Able to work independently, managing multiple responsibilities (i.e., self-starter, self-motivated)
