Join the City of Medicine Hat as a Gas Field Contract OperatorTemporary, Short Term Contract (3 months up to 12 months)The City of Medicine Hat is looking for an experienced, safety focused Gas Field Operator to temporarily join the team. Reporting to the Supervisor - Gas Production, this position is responsible for the overall operation and maintenance on gas wells, compressors, pipelines and other associated equipment. As a contract service provider to the City, a valid business license, active insurance coverage and current Workers #39; Compensation Board (WCB) coverage are requirements for the role. Your key responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day operational tasks and maintenance activities to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Identify equipment failures and implement necessary remedial actions.
• Maintain accurate records and collaborate with the team to uphold operational standards.

• Solid mechanical aptitude and proficiency in computer systems for operational requirements.
• Proven experience in gas field operations and a commitment to safety and excellence.

Qualifications

• A valid business license.
• Active insurance coverage.
• Current Workers #39; Compensation Board (WCB) coverage
• Six (6) years related work experience as a Gas Field Operator.
• Possession of a Class 5 Drivers License with an acceptable driving record. Compensation will be provided for contractors supplying personal truck. A City vehicle may be provided if required.
