Job Description

Currently we are looking for Safety Lead Professionals for a Project in Anzac!Who we Are - We are an Alberta based, family owned industrial contractor with over 25 years of successful industrial construction experience. Project Specifics:
  • Project located in South of Fort McMurray
  • Shift: 9 days on and 5 days off
  • Shift completion travel of $300 per shift rotation
  • Drive-in and out
  • Hours of Work: 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM
What you Bring:
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of related safety lead experience in oil and gas sector
  • A safe work environment for all employees, subcontractors and stakeholders
  • Manage and implementation of OH&S policies and procedures
  • Ensure adequate documentation and procedures are followed
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Extensive knowledge of local legislation and required regulations
  • Continual monitoring, coaching and guidance towards safety compliance
  • Drive safety campaigns and provide employee training
  • Provide regular and accurate statistical reporting
  • Evaluate safety performance through inspections and audits
  • Participate in accident investigations, root cause analysis and prepare accident reports
  • Organize and deliver toolbox talks
  • Ability to multi-task, and prioritize
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access) with the ability to work with multiple programs
  • Adheres to site specific safety requirements
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships with team members and coworkers
  • Ability to conduct walk-arounds on project sites
  • Invested in a safety-oriented work environment
  • Previous Experience: Health and Safety Inspector; Safety Specialist; HSE Inspector; Safety Officer
Requirements:
  • Successfully complete a pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • OHS / CRSP or NCSO certification
  • Standard First Aid
  • Valid Drivers License with Clean Abstract
  • CSTS 20 / WHMIS 2015
