We have over 1700 employees world-wide.This role is considered a senior-level Software Development Engineer and skilled technical contributor, applying experience towards adapting and learning technologies. Sr. Software Development Engineers should have formed opinions backed up by personal and industry experience, and should be able to articulate this experience to other Software Development Engineers. You should be consideredquot;highly proficient quot; on at least one major technology (i.e., Java stack, JavaScript front-end, Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering, etc.), and you should be competent in all aspects of an Agile-based SDLC, processes, and protocols for repeatable software delivery. In addition to meeting project requirements, Software Development Engineers at this level are also expected to be able to speak at meet-ups and conferences about emerging technologies and technology-oriented processes.This team is responsible for delivering high quality code to support our client #39;s business functions. Engineers are expected to be extremely flexible to changing priorities and shifting business priorities. This particular role is being introduced to help with applications integration project leveraging Native AWS application utilizing CI/CD platforms, Native ASW Infrastructure as code (IaaC) and serverless, event driven compute services.- Leads effort on solution design, development and implementation of world class solution- Articulates the Agile principles and their meanings to new team members and can run stand ups if needed.- Creates documentation that conveys technical concepts and approaches to technical stakeholders.- Presents brown bag presentations on technical topics.- Influences teams to improve project trajectory.- Assists in interview cycles through hands-on paired programming and provide insight into a candidate #39;s overall fit for Nortal.- Implements new tools and frameworks to support application architecture.- Breaks down work for team members with less experience.- Manages test data for integration and/or UI tests.- Diagnoses, fix, and coordinate deployment of bug fixes (and do this quickly in emergencies).- Collaborates with Nortal employees or works solo to conduct technical presentations.- Collaborating with team members to support production environments including debugging, ticket investigation and resolution and performance analysis and performance debugging- Build and develop serverless application features using NodeJS, Java, Python etc. and applicable frameworks- Communicating complex technical situations to non-technical business stakeholders- Observing and recognizing project and application scope expansions that provide additional value to the clientRequired Skills and Abilities- 5+ years of experience- Experience in AWS Cloud infrastructure and technologies- Experience with backend stacks such as Java, Python, Node.js, React.js programming practices and framework- Experience with SQL database such as RDS or no SQL database such as DynamoDB, MongoDB- B.S./B.A. degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)- Experience and knowledge of SDLC principles- Experience defining backend architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs- Experience developing an application with scalability, performance and reliability on the client side- Experience defining, designing and developing serverless applications- Experience defining, developing and maintaining API based integrations- Experience of REACT and front-end technologies- Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts- Demonstrated ability to mentor other developers to maintain architectural vision and software quality- Ability to take raw product requirements and develop software architectures and designs to bring them to lifeNortal - Americas Is An Equal Opportunity Employer And All Qualified Applicants Will Receive Consideration For Employment Without Regard To Race, Color, Religion, Sex, National Origin, Disability Status, Protected Veteran Status, Or Any Other Characteristic Protected By Law.ID: 2023-1546
