Job Description

Company ProfileMinto Metals, a producing underground copper mine has exciting opportunities to become part of our team and live by our Company values – Be Safe, Be Honest, Be Responsible, Be Respectful and Be Great!PositionWe are seeking a Site Services Support team member for a full-time/regular position. The role will be based at the Minto mine, 250km north of Whitehorse, YT. This is a camp-based operation with a two-week on/two weeks off rotation. Travel to/from Whitehorse and the mine site is paid for by the company.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring own Health & Safety as well as that of all other workers, identifying and maintaining safe work practices and completing all required safety training;
  • Work cooperatively as a member of the Site Services Team;
  • Assisting tradespeople and equipment operators in daily tasks and projects;
  • Must be aware of surroundings at all times;
  • Ability to use a variety of small hand tools, and knowledge of how to use the appropriate tools and equipment for the task;
  • Snow removal (by hand), assisting in overall site maintenance, repairs, and un-loading of planes and trucks;
  • Spotter for Heavy Equipment Operators;
  • Protect and promote the interest of this company in all matters and to take actions as required to satisfy such responsibilities;
  • Perform other duties to assist as assigned;
  • Promote teamwork, cross-cultural relations and understanding;
  • Maintain a daily log of activities and system logs as required;
  • Safely operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s licence
Priority consideration will be given to Selkirk First Nation citizens, Northern Tutchone citizens, Yukon First Nations and residents of Yukon Territory.Quick Apply
