Job Description

Alexandria Moulding is nestled in the Township of North Glengarry. Alexandria is a unique and vibrant community situated in a strategic location and possessing an enviable quality of life, which is reflected its rural and small-town character and is enhanced by a commitment to preserving its agricultural and natural resources, its historical and cultural heritage, and its quality municipal services.Alexandria is situated in between Ottawa and Montreal and 35 minutes for the Canada/US border.Alexandria Moulding, a division of US Lumber, is a customer focused manufacturer and distributor of quality mouldings and related millwork products for both Canadian and U.S. residential housing markets. Alexandria strives to be the best in class at developing and bringing to market value-add products and services.We are hiring for Order Pickers in our Distribution Centre for Sunday-Friday 11:30pm-7:30am.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Efficiently pick customer orders ensuring the correct number and products are accurate.
  • Strapping orders.
  • Transport orders to shipping locations.
  • Operates material handling equipment in a safe, responsible manner and ensuring that all safety pre-inspection checks are completed before use.
  • Correctly document and label all orders correctly through documentation including orders, packaging details, shipping labels, etc.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
  • Ensure product quality assurance.
  • Perform housekeeping as you go.
  • Commitment to promoting Health & Safety in a team environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Repetitive tasks.
  • Handle heavy up to 50 lbs.
  • Physically demanding.
  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • All necessary training will be provided.
  • Self-motivated and works well under pressure.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
  • Candidates must be of a serious nature and have a work record of regular and punctual attendance.
