Job Description

Job DescriptionReporting to the site director, the balance clerk contributes to the success of the division by supporting his team in the administrative aspect of receiving and shipping materials.

  • Perform the opening and closing of daily activities;
  • Greet customers with courtesy by following our procedures and requirements;
  • Proceed to open accounts for new customers;
  • Weigh the material;
  • Inform customers of the current metal prices;
  • Make delivery notes in the RECY software;
  • Confirm prices that do not appear in the system with the purchasing department;
  • Process customer payments;
  • Answer phone calls and redirect them as needed;
  • Prepare shipping papers;
  • Ensure the tracking of shipments of materials;
  • Balance the cash register at the end of each day;
  • Communicate relevant information to recipients;
  • Prepare reports;
  • Classify documents;
  • Ensure the calibration of the scales before opening the site;
  • Perform all other related tasks.
