Job Description

Human Resources Generalist, HytecWork Mode: OnsiteLocation: Onsite at Armstrong, BC CanadaOpportunityThis position will be responsible for supporting the human resources department. The incumbent #39;s activities will range from supporting business leaders and supporting manufacturing associates as their lead HR, administering tactical HR duties (metrics, recruiting, programming, etc.) to project work.Specific Responsibilities- Responsible for the manufacturing recruiting process through Kohler Career Management (KCM), including but not limited to screening, contacting, interviewing, referencing, background checks, hiring, exit interviews, stay interviews, etc.- Coordinate and complete new hire orientation while ensuring an effective and gracious onboarding experience.- Counsel management on individual HR related issues such as performance opportunities, promotions, terminations, position creations, job descriptions, etc.- Consult and advise business leaders on any labour relations issues; provide advice and guidance for resolution of issues such as grievances, ensuring adherence to best practice, legislation, collective agreement, and company policies. Escalate as required.- Responsible for running reports, tracking HR metrics including headcount reports, performance reviews, turnover, time to fill, disciplinary history, etc., while strategizing methods to reduce gaps.- Owner of HR management information systems including: all data systems, KCM talent recruiting, HRIS data integrity, DATS, etc. Administer all employee data in the various HR systems while ensuring each system is updated accurately and in a timely manner.- Maintain employee records and other related documents, both hard and soft copies, such as personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, discipline history, terminations, etc.- Responsible for manufacturing attendance management, including tracking and recognizing perfect attendance, reviewing, and managing manufacturing culpable and non-culpable absenteeism, overseeing all manufacturing coaching and/or discipline from an HR perspective.- Conduct onsite HR training such as Respectful Workplace training, policy statement training.- Acting as an engagement coach and mentor to plant leadership to promote culture and talent.- Responsible for overall Healthamp; Wellness initiatives.- Responsible for attending job fairs, administering cognitive testing, and assisting with interviewing for various unionized and non-unionized positions.- Coordinate and own Armstrong HR policy revision and development.- Build and maintain strong internal relationships with business leaders and HR Management; communicate and collaborate to leverage talent.- Participate in initiatives and committees as lead or HR representatives to OH amp;S, Joint Labour-Management (JLM #39;s), Wellness, Social, Stewardship, etc.- Other general HR duties as assigned.Skills/Requirements- Ideally candidates will hold a degree or diploma in business (commerce, administration, or management) with human resources courses.- CPHR designation is preferred.- Applicants should have a minimum of 2-4 years of human resources experience.- Strong attention to detail as well as good written and verbal communications are a must.- Must have strong computer skills (MS Office) and be able to work with online and internal systems for applicant management and data management.- Must be flexible and have exceptional multi-tasking abilities.- Collaboration and teamwork are an essential part of this role.We will consider applicants requiring sponsorship for this opportunity.Why Work at Kohler Co.Kohler Co. #39;s mission is to contribute to a higher level of gracious living for those who are touched by our products and services.
