Job DescriptionA Day in the Life:Under the direction of the Operations Manager and the Seed Orchard Technician (SOT), the SOT Assistant is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day activities in the orchards in order to maximize the production of high-quality seed from the orchard trees while upholding PRT’s safety and environmental practices and polices. The position is non-continuous (seasonal). During the off season, the SOT Assistant will be offered to assist and take part in other nursery work which may include supervisor, quality assurance or machine operator duties. No shift work required. Candidates should have a desire and keenness to learn about the seed orchard activities, keep accurate records, work independently and efficiently.
