Job DescriptionA Day in the Life:PRT is looking for a seasonal Seed Orchard Technician to work at the PRT Armstrong Nursery in Armstrong, BC.Under the direction of the Operations Manager the Seed Orchard Technician (SOT) is responsible for organizing and supervising the day-to-day activities in the orchards in order to maximize the production of high-quality seed from the orchard trees while upholding PRT’s safety and environmental practices and policies. The position is non-continuous (seasonal) and during the off season, the SOT is expected to assist and take part in other nursery work which may include supervisor, quality assurance or machine operator duties. No shift work required. Candidates should have a desire and keenness to learn about the seed orchard activities, keep accurate records, work independently and efficiently.
