Your main task will be to present financial reports and provide an informed outlook for the municipality #39;s financial decisions. By following recognized accounting principles, regulations, policies and legislation, you will plan, organize, coordinate, direct and control all activities related to the Finance Department #39;s mission.As a trusted expert, you will advise senior management, the city council and all municipal departments on budgetary and financial resource management issues, helping them to make the best decisions.Working with the general management team, you will draw up and coordinate the annual budget of almost $25 million for an organization composed of a hundred employees.RequirementsYOUR SKILLSAs the ideal candidate, you have a successful experience in a similar role. You have a CPA accounting designation and more than ten (10+) years of professional experience in the field. Your ability to analyze and summarise matches your rigour, professionalism, and exceptional planning and organizational skills. Furthermore, you demonstrate a strong sense of ethics and excellent communication skills, especially while working in a results-oriented environment, whether independently or as part of a team. You are comfortable collaborating with different stakeholders and interacting directly with senior executives to advise them on sometimes difficult decisions. Your ability to build strong relationships is based on creating an environment of integrity, discretion, and openness, combined with a high level of attention to detail.
