This job is permanent, full-time.Shipping Coordinator, Atikokan SawmillResolute Forest Products is seeking candidates for the position of Shipping Coordinator for our Atikokan Sawmill; one of the most technologically advanced sawmill and planer operations in North America. In this role you will report directly to the Production Supply Manager for Ontario Sawmills, and have overall responsibility for all aspects of administrative tracking of shipments / orders / inventory for the Atikokan Sawmill as well as the Ignace Sawmill Rough Dry Inventory.Your Challenges:

• Ensure diligent application of the health and safety program and compliance with health and safety legislation in order to minimize industrial accidents and diseases.
• Maintain progressive processes for handling truck traffic.
• Maintain lumber and shipment inventory data for both sites to ensure accurate, reliable data is used for reporting to sales and accounting.
• Reconcile volumes shipped from Ignace and received in Atikokan (lumber, chips and hog)
• Maintain progressive relationship with forklift drivers and haul contractors
• Follow departmental crewing and overtime budgets to ensure good cost control
• Maintain continuous improvement systems in, transportation and inventory management
• Maintain wrapping and strapping materials inventories
• Performing other assigned duties as required.

• Reporting to the Production Supply Manager for Ontario Sawmills, you will be part of a results-oriented team whose members are encouraged to exceed expectations.

Your profile:

• Business / Accounting Certificate or Diploma preferable.
• Three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Excellent communication (verbal & written), organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work independently and within a diverse team environment
• Support continuous improvement and contribute to cost savings initiatives
• MS Office Software computer skills
• A self-motivated individual who will work towards Reliability Excellence
• Possess a strong safety focus and exceptional safety record
