Position: 2022 Secondary Summer Learning Programs – TutorWork Location: Various locationsNumber of Positions: Various, depending on student enrollmentAge: 18 years (by December 31, 2022) or older (or who have completed the Secondary School Graduation Diploma)Salary Rate:$15.00/hour plus 4% vacation pay (students 18 years and over or students who have completed the Secondary School Graduation Diploma)Application Deadline: June 3, 2022We are now accepting applications for the 2022 Secondary Summer Learning Programs – Tutor positions.Hiring will take place on an ongoing basis (May-July), as needs arise.Our in-person program operates from Wednesday, July 6 - Friday, July 29, 2022 from 8:45 a.m. - 3:33 p.m. at the locations listed below.LOCATIONS:Aurora High School (Aurora)Keswick High School (Keswick)Langstaff Secondary School (Richmond Hill)Markham District High School (Markham)Milliken Mills High School (Markham)Pierre Elliott Trudeau High School (Markham)Richmond Green Secondary School (Richmond Hill)Tommy Douglas Secondary School (Tommy Douglas)Westmount Collegiate Institute (Thornhill)MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:To assist with the planning and delivery of programsunder the direction of the Principal or teacher.To care for and supervise all participants duringprogram hours including excursions.To demonstrate positive leadership qualities.To actively participate in the daily operation of theprograms and special activities associated with it.To contribute to the staff team environment.To attend a mandatory training day.Other duties as assigned.Equity, Diversity and Inclusion StatementThe York Region District School Board (YRDSB) believes in giving each and every applicant an equal opportunity to succeed on their own merit and we strive to hire staff that reflect and support the diverse perspectives, experiences and needs of our students and our communities.
