Job Description

OBJECTIVE:

  • Manage the plant equipment and facilities maintenance achieving production efficiency, quality and cost targets; foster a positive work environment where employees strive to achieve set goals
RESPONSIBILITIES/EFFORTS
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
  • Drives continuous improvements and cost reduction projects using lean manufacturing techniques focused on improving uptime, reducing cost and maximizing performance of equipment and facilities.
  • Drives our Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) program, using Predictive and Preventative techniques.
  • Ensures these techniques are carried out to plan and lead the team to deliver machine uptime effectively.
  • Leads a team of Maintenance personnel including Maintenance Mechanics/Millwrights, Electricians, and Robotic Technicians.
  • Performs high level of machine trouble shooting.
  • Involves in all aspects of building maintenance requirements for all new construction, renovations, and updates to current systems, and according to legal requirement as well as oversees a variety of plumbing and carpentry functions.
  • Coordinates and monitors contractor activities for projects.
  • Sets priorities for preventative maintenance work orders, maintenance requisitions and scheduled work.
  • Maintains adequate supplies and equipment for the maintenance department.
  • Maintains inventory of equipment, manuals, and warranties.
  • Report production issues to Plant Manager, weekly, daily, and as needed
  • Enforces company rules and policies as outlined in the Employee Manuals, safety policies, and Management Directives
  • Work to enforces Health & Safety practices throughout the organization
  • Conducts monthly safety inspections, layered audits, accident investigation, etc.
  • Ensures communication on KPIs, training requirements, employee concerns, etc. though daily department communication, department meetings, etc.
  • Performs all duties as assigned in accordance with and adherence to the IATF 16949 Quality System Standard
  • Follows Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions as outlined in the Quality Systems Manual and Employee Handbook
  • Performs all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety, 5S and Housekeeping guidelines and rules;
  • Reports all unsafe & unhealthy conditions to Management or a member of the Joint Health & Safety Committee
  • Performs other tasks as required
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/ PREREQUISITES
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience manufacturing maintenance leadership in Automotive Stamping and Assembly environment
  • Certified licensed tradesman preferred
  • Familiarity with production stamping equipment – presses 250 to 1500 tons, feeders, decoilers, safety systems, press controls, etc.
  • Familiarity with automated production assembly equipment, PLC’s, assembly welding – MIG, spot, resistance operation.
  • Self-motivated individual with excellent organization and communication skills
  • A team player who can organize and prioritize daily time demands to achieve the objectives set by Senior Management
  • Comfortable in a hands-on environment, knowing how to get the job done
  • Good computer skills (MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word)

Job Type: Full-timePay: $90,000.00-$95,000.00 per yearBenefits:
