Job Description

Position: Receptionist - RecruitmentWork Location: Human Resource Services - Education Centre Aurora (60 Wellington Street West, Aurora, ON, L4G 3H2)Work Schedule: 35 hours/week (full-time)Application Deadline: July 20, 2022Number of Positions: One (1)Interested candidates are required to complete the following on-line application to the attention of: The Recruitment Team. This temporary position is effective immediately and will end on or about November 1, 2023.In compliance with Board policies and procedures, responsible for providing general administrative and receptionist support to Human Resource Services.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:To serve as the “first-contact’ in Human Resource Services by assisting and responding appropriately to visitors including interview candidates;To answer incoming telephone calls and provide the appropriate response or redirect them to the appropriate staff;To open, sort, log and distribute electronic, internal and external mail to various departments and ensure follow up where necessary;To receive and enter data, modify, process and compile information and maintain database as required;To maintain office records and files;To provide administrative support for special projects within Human Resource Services as required;To attend meetings as assigned;To perform other duties as assigned.Line of Responsibility:Reports to the Manager, Recruitment & Retention.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:Secondary School Graduation Diploma with one year of post secondary education in administrative studies or in a related discipline, or equivalent, as approved by the Board, is required.Minimum one year related experience is required.Equity, Diversity, and Accommodation:The York Region District School Board (YRDSB) believes in giving each and every applicant an equal opportunity to succeed on their own merit and we strive to hire staff that reflect and support the diverse perspectives, experiences and needs of our students and our communities.
