Job Description

Subsidiary: Miller Paving LimitedAs a Roller Operator, You Will:

  • Operate a roller, grade roller, or rubber tire roller on municipal, highway, private contracts, and other heavy equipment in road construction operations in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform daily maintenance, clean and service the equipment; perform minor repairs to equipment
  • Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment fuel tanks daily
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, complete maintenance records and daily equipment log
  • Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment
  • Safely and reliably operate on your own and in a group
  • Travel with crews to various locations within Ontario for extended periods of time
  • Other duties as assigned
What Youll Bring:
  • Valid class G drivers licence with a clean driver abstract
  • Operate in a fast paced and demanding environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective team player who is willing to help in all areas
  • Must have a high attention to detail and the ability to think critically
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends if required
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Travel is required
