Job TitleInventory ManagerJob Description SummaryJob DescriptionPrimary Job DutiesDevelop strong relationships with key decision-makers in order to influence behaviors and ensure appropriate involvement of Procurement in sourcing activities.Maintain awareness of the restrictions, controls and accreditations that are placed upon suppliers working in a manufacturing/production environment, ensuring at all times that both sourcing strategies and the incumbent supplier base do not jeopardize or threaten internal compliance.Ensure compliance with process, governance and controls as agreed in the Procurement Code of Practice and Sourcing methodology. Ensure compliance with all C&W company policies and Health and Safety requirements. Ensure understanding of pre-work requirements, the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), setting up and maintaining a safe work environment.Collaboratively develop plans with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of targets, improve supplier performance, and implement continuous improvement plans across spend.Collaborate with peers to develop and enhance systems, process, and best practice sharing to help achieve best in class performance and bring consistency to sourcing activities.Management of Inventory Forecasting and Demand PlanningManagement of all material for the Robotic Drives, Charging Units and Loading stations.Manage the intake of materials checking goods received for damage, checking goods received against bills, checking stock levels against orders placed and updating tracking systems to confirm orders complete or materials outstanding.Creation and maintenance of product codes within the ERPDevise and introduce systems and process improvementsDevelop new KPIs and make recommendations to improve supply chain performanceMaintain accurate inventory of supply and products including PPE, AR materials and tooling equipmentInvestigate and resolve inconsistencies with inventoryLiaise with Quality Manager for removal and re-introduction of quarantined/defective partsSkills, Education and Experience5+ years of experience in an inventory, procurement or supply chain role in manufacturing or logistics environmentBachelor’s Degree in business related field, or equivalent experienceLean dynamics/methodsScheduling and forecasting processesAdvanced manufacturing processes, techniques and associated supply chainsUnderstanding of strategic sourcing of high technology goods and servicesManagement and mitigation of supply chain risk & creation of opportunityKnowledge of procurement systems and infrastructureOther: This position will require up to 90% travelCushman & Wakefield provides equal employment opportunity.
