Duties:Supervises yard activities and ensures that Bergers quality standards are metPlans operations in accordance to the guidelines received by his supervisor.Follows up on the condition of equipment (hydraulic and mechanical) and notifies maintenance staff and his immediate supervisor in the event of breakdowns.Verifies if the equipment is used and maintained properly by the operators.Completes various reports and submits them on time.Helps his staff in carrying out their duties if needed.Provides the necessary adjustments to the harvesters (brush) to maximize harvest.Verifies the quality (moisture and weight per cubic foot) and the quantity of peat at the time of peat harvesting.Ensures to maintain a healthy human resources management of the people under his supervision according to the current policies and proceduresTrains and informs his staff.Plans meal times based on yard performance.Ensures compliance with the time allotted for meals and breaks.Informs his supervisor when there are problems with employees and makes sure to do follow-ups.Makes sure to meet health and safety standards as well as work procedures from his departmentEncourages and considers ideas for improvements from his team and keeps it informed of the decisionsGives his supervisor ideas for possible improvements to the companyPerforms all other tasks requested by his supervisorRequired qualifications:Experience in driving a tractor;Experience with the Yard Attendant or Field Maintenance and Opening Attendant position;Bilingualism.
