Job Description

1. Responsible for instrument manufacturing operations2. Reports to: President3. Direct reports:

  • a. 4 Supervisors (Microwave Digestion, EasyPREP, DigiPREP, Machine Shop),
  • b. Machine Shop, Paint Shop
  • c. Scheduler
4. Responsibilities:
  • a. Production of all instruments
  • b. Meet performance objectives
  • c. Meet unit production estimates
  • d. Maintain highest quality practices
  • e. Coordinate production machine service and maintenance programs
  • f. Support product sourcing to improve costs and delivery
  • g. Productivity, productivity improvements, maintaining department ISO 9001 status,
  • h. Staff: training, standards of performance.
5. Attributes:
  • a. Bilingual: English & French
  • b. Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree
  • c. Mature approach to dealing with people and issues
  • d. Experience in production/manufacturing management
  • e. Experience with production of technical products
  • f. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Kaizan and 6 Sigma techniques (Desirable)
