Our team embodies a spirit of collaboration, and we believe that every member has the potential to contribute to our ongoing success.POSITION OVERVIEW:Under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager, the position performs a variety of production supervisory and leadership functions. The incumbent of this role will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily production through efficient workflows and guidance of production staff. The remaining points are inserted under the duties and responsibilities section.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the oversight of the production Team Leads (Cutting, Cuffing/Seaming, Qualityamp; Parts), and assist with labour reallocation, as required.
  • Coordinate the workflow of all stations including subcontracting jobs and ensure work orders are completed in an efficient manner.
  • Responsible for maintaining and generating the daily Production Schedule Report.
  • Coordinate the orders within the shipping and receiving department. Work with the Warehouse Team Lead to rectify any shipping issues and communicate with the Manufacturing Manager accordingly.
  • Responsible for monitoring operators’ workorder punch-ins and punch-outs on jobs and ensuring they are corrected on a daily basis.
  • Create and manage the material requirements report. This includes communicating with the sales group if there are material delays, as well as providing updates to the Purchasing Manager if there are material requirements.
  • Responsible for reviewing all works orders to ensure that material and labour has been posted accurately, prior to closure of work orders on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for maintaining the documentation for auditors and visitors such as Health and Safety Records, Employee Training Records, Equipment Records.
  • Responsible for calculating, maintaining, and reporting plant efficiency by production employee to the Manufacturing Manager.
  • Review and submit production related purchasing needs to Manufacturing Manager / Manufacturing Analyst (i.e., PPE, Production tools, etc.).
  • Responsible for reporting equipment issues to maintenance and Manufacturing Manager.
  • Submit the weekly timesheet each Monday to human resources and answer any missed punches or absences on a daily basis.
  • Participate in providing feedback to the Manufacturing Manager on individual production performance, for annual review and merit program.
  • Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company and department policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Maintains client and company confidence by keeping information confidential and secure.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with team members and management in a team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Completion of a College diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years’ experience in supervising production staff and workflow.
  • Proficient in understanding continuous improvement concepts and implementation.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP system.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
