JOB POSTING – MANAGER MUIN SIPU LEARNING CENTERThe Muin Sipu Learning Center offers early learning programs using play-based, emergent and culturally meaningful curriculum full time, year round. We are a small but welcoming community looking for a qualified, passionate and motivated individual to join our team of educators.The Manager of the Muin Sipu Learning Center is accountable to the Band Administrator for the day-to-day operations of the Learning Centre and for the effective and efficient delivery and monitoring of the early learning and childcare, afterschool and homeschool programs as well as the summer camp programs offered by the Bear River First Nation. The Manager of the Muin Sipu Learning Center supervises and provides support for the staff of Early Childhood Educators and Assistant, as well as the families and community members involved in the Centers programs including direct contact with parents and families regarding each child’s development and growth.The Manager is accountable for the development, planning and delivery of regular programming, including culturally appropriate activities, for children enrolled in the Afterschool Programs at the Learning Center. Working in a team-based approach to early learning and child development, the Manager coordinates the planning and implementation of a play based, active learning curriculum and maintaining the documentation of planned activities for all programs as well as the summer programs. The Manager also is accountable for sharing the responsibility of the basic care needs of the children as well as participating in the menu planning and maintaining the cleanliness of the Center along with the other staff.Requirements:
