LetÂ’s Ko Restaurant Inc. o/a LetÂ’s Ko Restaurant is looking for a Cook, Ethnic foods (permanent / full time position).- Job title: Cook, Ethnic Foods (NOC 63200) - Japaneseamp; Korean cuisine- Terms of employment: Permanentamp; Full time Position- Location: 30 Damascus Dr, Unit 110, Bedford, NS, B4A 0C1- Start date: December 01, 2024- Position available: 1Key Duties and Responsibilities:- Oversee the kitchen operations- Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience- Supervise and coordinate work activities and schedules of kitchen staff engaged in food preparation- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, which include sauces, soups, vegetables, meats, poultry and/or fishes- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerance - May plan menus and determine food portions - Place purchase orders and/or requisitions for procuring necessary, food ingredients, supplies, etc.- Maintain inventory and records of food ingredients, supplies and equipment- Estimate expected food consumption and requirement - Check the quality of raw and cooked products- Check the quantity and quality of received products- Weigh, measure and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment- Inspect kitchen and food service areas- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas- Train kitchen staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food Academic, Training and Experience Qualifications- Secondary school graduation certificate required - At least one year of previous experience in commercial cooking industry requiredWork conditions and physical capabilities- Fast paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Combination of sitting, standing and walking, Standing for extended period of time, Attention to details, bending, couching, kneelingWage- Salary: $18.50 per hour for 30~40 hours a week at 52 weeks a yearFlexible Working Hours- Day, Afternoon, Evening, Night, WeekendsBenefits- Vacation pay: 4% remuneration of total gross salaryPlease send your resume at Letsko.hiring@gmail.com** LetÂ’s Ko Restaurant Inc. o/a LetÂ’s Ko Restaurant hires on the basis of merit and is committed to employment equity.
