Job Description

Job SummaryThe Project Manager Assistant (PMA) under the direction of the Chief Operation Officer (COO) provides assistance to project manager, they guide/manage a number of administration activities related to the overall production projects. A key component of the role is being a back-up to the project manager. The PM Assistant is engaged in a project during the pre-contract phase, where they will initiate the selection process along with an understanding of the critical tasks related to the project.ResponsibilitiesCoordination and tracking of Critical task check-list related to construction projectsInclude and maintain all project related documentationManage/coordinate selection processPrepare and manage project schedules in collaboration with PMsCoordinate project start-up and close-out related to the administration tasksSubmit, coordinate and track permits and inspectionsAdminister project change ordersManage monthly labour planManage client billing and tracking of allowancesQualificationsBasic understanding of project managementKnowledge of basic administrative tasks such as data entry and filingFamiliarity with customer service practicesProficiency in using Microsoft Suite or similar softwareAbility to multitask and prioritize workload effectivelyStrong communication skills and attention to detailUnderstanding of construction process would be preferredJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $20.00-$25.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekAdditional pay:Overtime payBenefits:Casual dressDental careEmployee assistance programExtended health careLife insuranceOn-site parkingVision care
