Purchasing AgentAGI Envirotank is a leading manufacturer of above and below-ground steel storage tanks for both shop built and field erected applications. We are currently looking for an experienced Purchasing Agent to work in our office in Biggar, SK.Duties & Responsibilities:· Purchasing of all supplies and materials required for the manufacturing of our product.· Sourcing/Purchasing of parts and materials for building and equipment maintenance.· Ensuring proper quantities, quality and price of materials.· Sourcing product and availability to fit our needs while ensuring the best purchasing price.· Tracing shipments and follow up on goods.· Creating work orders from drawings while working in an office environment.· Managing inventory levels and pricing.· Ensuring inventory is arriving at the required times to meet production needs.· Negotiating purchasing pricing and terms with suppliers.· Working with sales and production staff to generate forecasts of inventory requirements based on sales forecasts.· Expediting orders when required for changes in production schedules.Skills & Abilities: · 2-4 years previous purchasing experience.· Mechanical background would be a great asset.· Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).· Excellent English both written and verbally.· Ability to read and interpret drawings.· Strong interpersonal skills.· Ability to problem solve and manage competing requests in a fast-paced environment.· Ability to work both independently and as a team member.· Self-directed and organized with the ability to multi-task, follow-up and prioritize to complete assignments on tight deadlines.Applicants must be a permanent Canadian resident and willing to relocate.
