Employer Overview: Total Energy Services Inc. is a diversified energy services supplier to the Canadian and international marketplace. Through our distinct business lines we can provide equipment and expertise for your drilling, completion, production, transportation, oil and gas process equipment and natural gas compression needs.Total Oilfield Rentals Inc. is now hiring for a Field Supervisor for our rental/trucking division located in Red Deer/Blackfalds, AB.Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Field Supervisor is responsible for the regional supervision of the service delivery of products and services to the customer in a manner compliant with company guidelines, supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in all field operations which may include, but not limited to, oilfield equipment moves and fluid transportation projects that may involve, Bed Trucks, Tractors, Tank Trucks and Wagons, Trailers, Rental Equipment, and various components. Has sales aptitude with complete knowledge of the company’s products and services.The Field Supervisor is responsible for the following activities:

  • Understand and interpret customer needs during the planning and execution of jobs.
  • Ensure our resources are actively managed, marshaled and deployed to maximize utilization and control costs.
  • Provide effective on-lease management of equipment and personnel to ensure superior HSE compliance.
  • Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of sales order and ticket information.Supervision of a job will include:
    • All personnel and equipment is right for the job at hand.
    • Checks location prior to job, either directly or through other sources on location
    • Checks road conditions prior to departure and monitors changes in weather conditions on an on-going basis. If conditions are too poor to continue the job safely, determines if personnel and equipment are to continue, take alternate route or stop until weather is more favourable.
    • Predetermine fuel and meal stops with operators.
    • Performs safety and pre-start meeting. Discuss job procedures, hazards and documents accordingly. Have consultant sign safety meeting minutes prior to starting the job.
    • Record start time on location.

    • When jobs are not able to be completed in one day, ensure that all operators and assistant operators are informed of when to shut down, where to go, and what time they are to start the next day.

QUALIFICATIONSGODI, Standard First Aid, Oilfield Supervision, TDG, WHMIS, H2S Alive, Confined Space Rescue, Defensive Driving, Volatile Material Handling, Airbrake systems.EXPERIENCE3 - 5 years oilfield service delivery leadership experience. Proven track record as an expert off road operator or service truck driver in the oilfield services industry. Experience with rigging and hoisting, surface pumps, light towers, storage tanks, values, pumps and, system & vessel purging. Experience emergency & spill response, fire suppression, accident investigation, safety meetings. Knowledge of environmental protection & prevention and use of safety equipment and safe work permits. Expertise in gas monitoring & testing, use of respiratory protective equipment, lock-outs & tagging & reporting, safe work permits, and safe handling of volatile material.Why work for Total Oilfield Rentals Here are our company perks:
