We are leaders in precast concrete and proudly serve all over Western Canada. We manufacture precast for industrial, commercial, agricultural, and civil infrastructure and have built an outstanding name in the construction industry. Our dedicated team has grown to 450+ full-time employees.This position will be situated full-time year-round in our manufacturing plant in Blackfalds. The successful candidate will specialize in the construction of wooden infrastructure, including concrete forms, studding and other structures in commercial, industrial, and agricultural settings. The successful candidate will demonstrate consistent leadership, strategic problem-solving skills, and ensure work can be done to the quality and efficiency that Eagle Builders is know for.*Job Descriptions*

• Interpret blueprints, diagrams, plans and building codes
• Determine the type and amount of material required for each project
• Maintain inventory of supplies and materials
• Train apprentices and other employees
• Use wood and other materials to build structures and forms to place concrete
• Safely operate hand and power tools with caution and precision
• Accurately measure and cut materials to required specification
• Establish methods to meet deadlines and coordinate work activities with other departments
• Keep a clean and organized work environment
• Observe and follow all OSHA Standards
• Work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adhere to all company safety policies and procedures

Assets

• 3-5 years’ experience as a Journeyman Carpenter
• A valid driver’s license with reliable transportation to drive to the shop everyday

Requirements

• Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program
• Construction knowledge: how to build projects depicted
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Outstanding critical thinking skills
• Good math and problem-solving skills
• Leadership skills are essential
• Must be punctual and reliable
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with the attention to detail
• Minimum 40 hours per week, must be flexible and willing to work overtime
• Night shift start time is between 7pm and 7:30pm
• Physically able to perform demanding work for extended periods of time (laying, bending, squatting, lifting, etc.)

• Local to central Alberta or willing to relocate to central Alberta
• Must be eligible to work in Canada. Currently, we are unable to sponsor international candidates.
