If you are energetic, hardworking, and seeking long-term commitment, we want to hear from you!This position will be situated full-time in our manufacturing plants near Blackfalds, AB. The successful candidate will be physically fit with the ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50lbs. The successful candidate will be able to pour concrete using heavy equipment such as pouring machines and overhead cranes, read layouts, finish product as per specs, operate hand power vibrators; as well as power troweling machinery, texturing tools and materials.Job Descriptions

• Check formwork and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms
• Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured concrete
• Operate power vibrators to compact concrete, level top surface concrete according to depth specification

• Operate a screed to level freshly placed concrete according to depth specifications

• Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
• Apply hardening and sealing components to cure concrete surfaces

Requirements

• Previous concrete finishing experience
• Able to smooth concrete surfaces using hand trowels and power trowels
• Able to apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
• Completion of high school
• Able to handle physically demanding tasks for extended period of time
• 18 years of age English language is a requirement
• Must be willing to work/rotate early morning/day shifts and evening/overnight shifts Monday – Friday, occasional Saturday
• Minimum 40 hours per week, must be flexible and willing to work overtime
• Must be punctual and reliable
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Willing to work in a fast-paced environment with the attention to detail
• A valid driver’s license with reliable transportation to drive to the shop everyday
