Precast Drafting Coordinator*HIRING LEAD/DIRECT REPORT |* Barry Swain & Ryan WattJOB TYPE | Permanent, Full-TimeLOCATION | Blackfalds, AlbertaDEPARTMENT | Precast DraftingCLOSING DATE | Thursday, November 7, 2022, at NoonSTART DATE | As soon as possiblePosition SummaryAre you goal oriented, and results driven Do you enjoy coordinating, scheduling, and planning workflow Eagle Builders is western Canada’s leader in precast concrete construction with 450+ full-time employees and we continue to grow - looking to add Precast Drafting Coordinators to the drafting team!As a Precast Drafting Coordinator, you will work with the drafting team daily, delegating projects and ensuring deadlines are met. You will be assertive in nature and able to ensure policies and deadlines are maintained.Job Descriptions

  • Review project data and drawings to understand project scope
  • Coordinate drawing issue dates, production dates and erection schedules
  • Coordinate, issue, and track requests for information
  • Manage schedule and deadlines for drafting team to ensure project deadlines are met
  • Review all project data and drawings for completeness
  • Coordinate job-specific material needs with production and Project Management
  • Verify drawings have been reviewed and checked
  • Review drawings for completeness
  • Issue erection drawings and shop tickets
  • Direct questions from production, erection, and the field
  • Assist in training project drafters and checkers
Assets
  • Experience in a senior project drafting role
  • Previous precast knowledge preferred
  • Familiar with construction terms and processes
Requirements
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to delegate
  • Ability to manage schedules and deadlines for the department
  • Attentive to detail, organized and able to meet deadlines under pressure is a must
  • English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work in a team environment and independently
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • A valid class 5 drivers’ license, acceptable driver’s abstract and reliable transportation
  • Available to work Monday-Friday and the occasional Saturday
  • Minimum 40 hours per week, must be flexible and willing to work overtime
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Local to central Alberta or willing to relocate to central Alberta
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada. Currently, we are unable to sponsor international candidates.
