The successful candidate will have previous experience working with rebar and be physically fit with the ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40lbs. They will be required to learn tasks related to the production of precast products to assist multiple crews in the manufacturing shop. Must be willing to work day shifts Monday to Friday.*Job Descriptions*

• Position and secure steel bars and rods using a variety of rebar tying techniques
• Space and fasten together rods using wire and pliers
• Determine quantities, sizes, shapes, and locations of reinforcing rods from blueprints, sketches, or oral instructions
• Use a variety of tools to cut rods to required lengths
• Prepared to work hands on and receive on-the-job training
• Follow direction and work with a crew
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

• Work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adhere to all company safety policies and procedures

• Troubleshoot problems and report to foremen or supervisor

Assets

• Basic understanding of construction principles
• Journeyman Rebar Tier/Rob Buster Certification

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of previous rebar experience

• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions when necessary

• Available to work day shift Monday-Friday, occasional Saturday
• Minimum 40 hours per week, must be flexible and willing to work overtime
• Physically able to perform demanding work for extended periods of time
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Must be punctual and reliable
• Willing to work in a fast-paced environment with the attention to detail
• A valid driver’s license with reliable transportation to drive to the shop everyday

• Local to central Alberta or willing to relocate to central Alberta
• Must be eligible to work in Canada. Currently, we are unable to sponsor international candidates.
