Job Description

The Rental Technician is required to have the ability to perform many Technical Service tasks and duties as they relate to the rental business.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Part of an on call schedule of dispatching and answering phones with direct communication to customers
  • Organize and dispatch equipment for field jobs
  • Procurement of other products and services that the customer may require
  • Provide or arrange technical support for oil and service companies
  • Complete priced work orders for customer sign-off
  • Complete field rig ups and tear downs of BOP’s and frac heads when required
  • Complete field frac head and valve greasing jobs when required
  • Service and provide maintenance to all Aero equipment, including shop and field repairs
  • Assist management in day to day operations in all aspects for Aero requirements, including other items not mentioned above
  • Participate in weekly and monthly operational and safety meetings
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Must possess solid computer skills, particularly with Word and Excel
  • Must be safety oriented
  • Ability to interact and perform successfully in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision
  • Strong trouble shooting and research skills
  • Ability to provide integrated knowledge to customers
  • Able to multi-task successfully in a fast paced environment
  • Previous site knowledge of drilling and completion activities
  • Possess technical knowledge of most oilfield products and equipment
  • Knowledge of billing procedure considered an asset
  • Rental Technician experience considered an asset
  • H2S, TDG, WHMIS, First Aid tickets considered an asset
  • Fork Lift Training considered an asset
  • Over Crane Certified considered an asset
Special Conditions of Employment
  • Overtime hours as required
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
