What You’ll Do:

• Hand package filled containers into cardboard boxes as they progress down from conveyor line and tape boxes and ready for palletizing
• Empty track and palletize ice cream onto skids in hardening room. (Note: Sub zero minus 25 degree environment). Requirement to use manual pallet jack to move frozen ice cream to specified location in hardening room
• Observes & fills inclusions into proper equipment and sets controls to meet recipe requirements
• Inspect filled container to ensure product is packaged according to specifications
• Check for leaks and other minor defects
• End of shift prepare for sanitation process. Disassemble equipment parts for washing
• Perform housekeeping tasks on shift

What you Need to Get the Job Done:

• High School Diploma required or a combination of equivalent experience
• Previous machine operator or packing experience strongly preferred ideally from a food/beverage manufacturing environment
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment is an asset
• Good verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with others
• Ability to discuss production issues in a constructive way with co-workers and Supervisor in a respectful, positive and collaborative manner
• Eye/hand coordination is essential
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye co-ordination
• Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions (i.e. lifting up to 25kg)
• Must be reliable
• Able to work as a team member
