Although the company has grown tremendously from its early days, it remains headquartered in the lakeside community of Bobcaygeon, Ontario, where it was founded, near Peterborough, an hour north of the GTA.Today Kawartha Dairy operates 10 retail stores and services a wide range of customers, from grocery stores to foodservice establishments and of course, ice cream parlours. The company also provides custom dairy ingredients to other food companies using Kawartha Dairy’s long history of dairy expertise.Reflecting the explosive growth in the brand and the business as a whole, Kawartha Dairy has recently constructed a 54,000-square-foot warehouse just south of Bobcaygeon to serve its provincial operations. Investments are also underway to modernize the production plant, our systems and our infrastructure.Working from our Bobcaygeon location, reporting to the Brand Manager, the Social Media & Marketing Coordinator is an accomplished digital professional responsible for implementing our corporate digital strategies by creating content calendars, writing and editing impactful content designed to increase traffic and conversation across our website and social media channels. The Social Media Coordinator will demonstrate a passion for understanding and serving consumers, a curiosity to understand business and brand performance, and a pride in our product and quality. What You’ll Do:
  • Develop and manage social media content calendars to support key strategies and initiatives aligned with our Social Media Strategy
  • Execute against these calendars, including developing content, social listening, sourcing/creating graphics, and running paid ad campaigns
  • Ensure that our corporate brand voice, tone and style is consistently reflected in all digital communications
  • Manage and own the content cadence and creation of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook)
  • Explore test and learns in new platforms such as TikTok
  • Generate metrics reports using standardized tools and craft analyses based on the data; assist in developing related recommendations
  • Create a summary of social post performance, and make recommendations to adjust strategy or execution as required
  • Monthly social media results presentation to the VP, Marketing & Customer Experience
  • Stay up-to-date on new social media tools and best practices; monitor competitors and other social media leaders to see how they are using them, so the company can continue to be an early adopter of these technologies
  • Support the marketing, sales and retail teams in creating/updating POS for new launches
  • Support the marketing team in developing POS for our Retail Stores
What You Need to Get the Job Done:
  • Post Secondary Education with preference for Commerce or Marketing focus
  • 3+ years of experience in content creation for web and social channels with work experience in a corporate or agency environment
  • A successful track record of executing content strategies that propels an organization’s vision
  • Knowledge of WordPress CMS, Hootsuite, SEO and SEM
