Boundary Co-op is hiring a full-time HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR at our ADMINISTRATION OFFICE in BOISSEVAIN, MB.Who we are:Co-op does business differently. To learn more about who we are and how you can help bring our brand to life, visit us at www.Boundaryco-op.crsWhat you’ll do:The Health & Safety Advisor is knowledgeable in safety management and supports the continual improvement of Health and Safety performance at our 12 locations. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Health & Safety Advisor provides advice and support to the Local Co-op on a broad variety of health and safety activities including the development, implementation and maintenance of health and programs. The Advisor is responsible for inspections, incident investigations, hazard and risk analysis, health and safety training, providing leadership to workplace health and safety committees, audit and reporting, and vendor management. The Health & Safety Advisor ensures compliance with all applicable legislation and regulations is maintained.Who you are:We are looking for applicants who have:

  • One of the following designations would be considered an asset; Canadian Registered Safety Professional or Certified Health & Safety Consultant
  • You have 3-6 years of relevant experience in the Health and Safety field; retail experience would be an asset
  • You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Outlook, and Excel); you possess skills to develop spreadsheets and documents and desire to incorporate new technology into your work
  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to translate complex information to different audiences
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You have effective planning and organization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver the solutions that matter most
