People like you!Job DescriptionKey responsibilities:Health, Safety, Environment- Lead and monitor closure of action items for hazard analysis assessments, new equipment and/or process safety reviews and any other health, safety, and environmental related assessments- Review HSE related KPI #39;s to target areas of improvement- Ensure corporate and site specific programs, procedures, and reports are developed, implemented, and reported as per the regulatory requirements and in a timely manner.- Participate in monthly HSE Leads call to ensure the sites are informed of any changes required by Corporate HSE- Support annual environment permit requirements submissions. Assist with preparation of regulatory reports (wastewater, hazardous materials plans, air district reports etc.).Administering program, training and meetings- Coordinate safety meeting schedules, agendas, materials and activities.- Ensure training matrix is up to date, create a monthly training schedule, and support/guide supervisors on providing training- Develop, implement, set up and provide required training for all facility employees on safe work practices, policies, procedures, standards and reporting related to health, safety and environmental.Record keeping and action plans- Maintain the audit results information updated.- Ensure HSE documentation is developed and maintained (including programs, policies, and work documents)- Responsible for updated to track action items generated from safety meetings and audit.- Liaise with plant staff on health, safety and environmental issuesOther duties, as assignedRequirements:- Bachelor Degree in Occupational Healthamp; Safety- Working towards CRSP Certification an asset- 3 years of HSE work experience in construction or manufacturing industry- Ability to read and interpret occupational health and safety and environmental legislation- Strong technical writing skills to be able to create documents for an adult learning audience- Should be comfortable to wear personal protective equipment including safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hat and gloves.- Strong communication (written, verbal, presentation) and interpersonal skills- Ability to establish priorities and work effectively alone and in a team- Excellent organization and analytical skills- Valid driving license and reliable vehicle#LI-MN1Benefits of Employment: IKO recognizes that its success is due to the strength of its employees.
